Tracking down every piece of wealth in Assassin's Creed Valhalla often leads Eivor to intricate puzzles hidden across ancient England. In the city of Jorvik, players will encounter a heavily locked chest inside a suspected Cultist Hideout that requires three separate keys to open. Interestingly, none of these keys are located within the city limits, forcing adventurers to travel deep into the surrounding wilderness of Eurvicscire to claim their reward.
The Cursed Tower at Anlafs Lookout
The first key requires you to venture east of Jorvik toward a synchronization point known as Anlafs Lookout. This snowy area is afflicted by a cursed symbol situated at the top of a dilapidated stone tower. Players must carefully climb the structure while avoiding icy surfaces that prevent Eivor from gaining a proper grip.
As you near the top, look closely for a barred ladder that blocks further upward progress. You can easily lower the ladder by shooting its wooden latch with a well-aimed arrow from your bow. Clambering to the very top platform will reveal the first Cultist Hideout Key sitting right next to the glowing red cursed skull.
Subterranean Secrets of the Cultist Ritual
To locate the second key, players must travel northwest of the city to an ominous landmark called the Cultist Ritual circle. Upon arriving at the scene, check the immediate surroundings for a frozen pond with noticeable fractures in the ice. Shattering these cracks with a melee strike or arrow allows you to dive into the freezing waters to retrieve an initial entryway key.
Once you surface with the key, head back toward the main ritual shrine and locate the stone stairs leading underground. Use the newly acquired key to unlock the heavy door at the bottom of the staircase. Inside this hidden room, you will find the second key resting on a corpse alongside another cursed relic.
The Open Air of Dalby Forest
The final key is located northeast of Jorvik near the dense woodlands of Dalby Forest. Unlike the previous two keys, obtaining this one does not require solving complex environmental puzzles or breaking structural obstacles. It sits in a cursed clearing out in the open, waiting for passing players to pick it up.
Explore the immediate area beneath a massive, distinct tree to spot the shiny object resting on the ground. Be prepared to deal with the minor disorientation effects caused by the nearby curse symbol while looking for it. Once retrieved, you will officially possess all the items needed to head back to the city.
Unlocking the Jorvik Hideout Chest
With all three keys safely resting in your inventory, make your way back to the Cultist Hideout located just west of the Councillors House in Jorvik. Accessing the interior of the locked house is simple if you climb through the roof openings or slip inside an unsecured back window. Approach the heavily secured chest inside the main room to finally unlock it and claim a valuable Tungsten Ingot for upgrading your gear.
